For several years the fire rescue market has been looking for a dual camera option that combined thermal and daylight imaging. DJI seemed to solve that problem in a roundabout way when they released the dual gimbal Matrice 210.
Now, FLIR and DJI have combined forces to bring a huge leap forward for fire department drone programs across the country. The new FLIR DJI Zenmuse XT2, the first combined thermal and daylight camera that works with the DJI family of drones. Specifically designed for the Matrice 200/210, the XT2 allows a pilot to operate two cameras in conjunction on a single gimbal. It pairs the FLIR Tau 2 thermal sensor and 4K visual camera with DJI’s stabilization and machine intelligence technology, to quickly transform aerial data into powerful public safety insights.
Here are some the specs:
- <50 MK thermal sensitivity
- 12 MP visual sensor
- 30 HZ max thermal frame rate
- IP44 level ingress protection
- Picture in picture options
